First CTF (Capture the Flag) Ethical Hacking Competition
The GSyA group organises within the activities of Santa Tecla 2021, the first Ethical Hacking competition of the CTF (Capture the Flag) type, in which 15 teams of students will compete to solve 20 challenges about vulnerabilities in information systems, which will allow them to learn how hackers attack software systems, helping them to understand how to develop secure software systems that allow them to adequately protect organisations.
For the event, GSyA has developed a Capture the Flag platform and a database of its own hacking challenges. Among the advantages of the platform developed, is that the Flags obtained are dynamic, which will prevent teams from sharing the flags between them.
The event is part of the GSyA research group's strategy to promote human talent in the field of cybersecurity, as this is one of the most demanded fields in society today, and with greater projection in the future.
