Special Issue: Security Governance & Information Security Management Systems
Our colleagues David García Rosado and Luis Enrique Sanchez Crespo together with Manuel Ángel Serrano from the Alarcos Group, have been invited as editors for a special issue titled: Security Governance & Information Security Management Systems, in the journal Computer Standards & Interfaces by Elsevier.
Abstract
Cybersecurity is a real and increasingly critical need in a digitalized society, where the number of threats and their impacts continue to grow. Today, digital elements and infrastructures are increasingly complex and elements dependent on information technology that constitute the essential pillars of communicative, economic, social and institutional infrastructures require adequate mechanisms for analysis and risk management. Security management and threat mitigation within these systems have implicitly become a fundamental issue for citizens (to preserve their privacy), for companies (to protect digital assets and transactions) and for states (to protect their critical infrastructures and guarantee the continuity of government and government services, etc.) and, therefore, it is extremely important to have adequate management systems to solve all the problems that currently exist.
