TrustAIoT: Trust and Security in AIoT at RECSI 2026

TrustAIoT: Trust and Security in AIoT at RECSI 2026

Within the framework of the 19th Spanish Meeting on Cryptology and Information Security (RECSI 2026), held at the University of La Laguna (Tenerife) from 17 to 21 March, Carlos Mario Braga, researcher in the Alarcos Group at the University of Castilla-La Mancha and collaborator with the Security and Auditing Group (GSyA), presented the paper “TrustAIoT: From Sociotechnical Trustworthiness to Early Ecosystemic Detection” (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.iot.2025.101751).

The article represents an extension of work published in a JCR-indexed journal (Internet of Things Journal, 2025) and addresses the challenges of security and trust in ecosystems that integrate artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. As its main contribution, the TrustAIoT framework is introduced, proposing both an architecture and a methodological process to manage, in an integrated manner, the technical, legal, and ethical dimensions of trust in AIoT systems. This approach adopts a sociotechnical perspective on cybersecurity, in which protection is understood as a dynamic process based on ecosystem balance.

The proposal stands out for its innovative nature, redefining security as an evolutive and measurable property, while also enabling early threat detection in complex intelligent environments.
