QUILLAQUA advances sustainable cybersecurity for digital agriculture with a new publication in a Q1 journal
Our colleagues Diego F. Bustamante, Luis E. Sánchez, Antonio Santos-Olmo, David G. Rosado, and Eduardo Fernández-Medina have published the paper ‘Green security for digital agriculture: The QUILLAQUA framework’ in the international journal Results in Engineering, published by Elsevier.
This publication marks another step forward in the development of QUILLAQUA, a research line focused on integrating cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and sustainability into emerging digital agriculture environments.
The study further delves into a vision of Agriculture 4.0 in which technological transformation must be coupled with mechanisms to safeguard systems and data, as well as efficiency and sustainability criteria.
QUILLAQUA thus addresses the need to develop increasingly connected, intelligent, and automated agricultural systems, without overlooking the emerging risks arising from the integration of IoT technologies and intensive data processing.
This approach paves the way towards more secure and resilient digital agriculture models, whilst pursuing a more efficient utilisation of resources.
The significance of this publication is further highlighted by the journal in which it has been accepted. Results in Engineering is an international Elsevier journal ranked in the first quartile (Q1) of the JCR in the field of Engineering, Multidisciplinary, with an impact factor of 9.4, consolidating its position as a benchmark publication in multidisciplinary engineering.
This new paper reinforces the research conducted by GSyA at the intersection of cybersecurity, sustainability, and digital transformation, applying the group’s findings and methodologies to strategic sectors such as agriculture.
