Biografía
My curriculum could be summarized in several stages. An initial one (2006-2009) in which I started my teaching and research career at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) within the GSYA research group, after being selected for an FPI grant funded by the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha (end of 2006). My thesis was developed in the field of information systems security, more specifically on security in data warehouses and OLAP systems. In this period I improved my academic training with a master's degree in Advanced Information Technologies and several specialization courses, I made several research stays (Alicante, Murcia and Milton Keynes (UK)) and I obtained my first relevant publications.
This was followed by a period of change. At the end of 2009 I had the opportunity to move to the University of Cantabria (UC), where the Computer Engineering degree was being implemented. This required me to be highly involved in teaching, organizing and setting up courses from scratch. This meant that the defense of my doctoral thesis was somewhat delayed, until early 2012 when I defended it with international mention and a unanimous cum laude grade. During this period, in addition to my involvement in teaching, I continued to obtain relevant publications and increase my training, which led me to obtain accreditation by ANECA for the position of PhD Assistant Professor in May 2012.
Subsequently, in addition to continuing to improve my teaching, research and training activities, I have acquired new responsibilities. At the end of 2013 I got a position as Assistant Doctor at the University of Cantabria and began to collaborate with the International University of La Rioja in the Master's Degree in Computer Security. At this stage, at the teaching level I have participated in the implementation of the degree in Computer Science at the UC, organizing and setting up several subjects of the mention of Software Engineering, I have paid special interest in teaching innovation (training, leading innovation projects and obtaining publications), I have participated in master's teaching, I have been part of evaluation committees and I have directed numerous final projects and master's theses (most in collaboration with companies). On the other hand, at the research level, I have collaborated with different universities, I have made a postdoctoral stay and I have deepened in several lines of research that have allowed me to obtain publications of greater impact. In addition, I have acquired new responsibilities by participating in the organization of events (several international workshops with several editions) and as a reviewer for numerous international journals and conferences. All this led in February 2015 to obtain the accreditation as Associate Professor by the ANECA and that my work relationship at the University of Cantabria was changing to PhD Assistant Professor (early 2019).
My lines of research have always been evolving within the security of information systems and collaborations with other universities and projects, my most recent work has been oriented to the security of NoSQL databases. I have participated as a researcher in several competitive projects, performing tasks related to information systems security: 7 national plan projects, 5 regional projects and 4 transfer projects with companies.
Regarding the dissemination of results, I have published several international communications, papers and book chapters related with these topics (DSS, CSI, INFSOF, ComSIS, TCJ, ER, DaWaK, etc.). In the last 10 years I highlight the publication of 10 JCR articles (of which 8 are very relevant: 3 Q1 and 5 Q2).
